Europe by car
Two weeks on the road, living out of a car with a friend and fixing it far too often.

Car, Friend, No Real Plan
In 2008, a friend and I took off on a two-week roadtrip through Europe in a car that doubled as our home. It was cramped, chaotic, and exactly the kind of freedom we wanted.
Most nights ended with us parked somewhere new, reorganizing bags and trying to make the car livable before falling asleep. It was simple, rough, and surprisingly perfect.
Breakdowns Included
The car broke down more times than we could count. Some stops were planned, many were forced, and a few mechanics probably saved the whole trip.
Even with all the breakdowns, or maybe because of them, the roadtrip became unforgettable. We learned to improvise, laugh at bad timing, and keep going as soon as the engine did.
